A 59-year-old taxi driver was left with a bloodied head and five stitches after an argument at a coffee shop in Singapore escalated into violence, according to Shin Min Daily News.
The owner of the coffee shop allegedly used a bread knife to attack him and has since been arrested.
The incident occurred on Monday (Jan. 6) around 6:30pm.

The altercation reportedly began when the taxi driver, Mr. Tan, sat down for dinner at the coffee shop after work.
According to Tan, he had been waiting for staff to take his coffee order but received no response despite calling out multiple times.

“I called out a few times, but they just ignored me and walked past,” Tan shared. As he has diabetes and struggles with mobility, he stayed seated while attempting to get their attention.
Eventually, a man approached and told him to stop shouting.
“I asked him if ordering coffee was wrong, and suddenly he ran back to the drinks stall, grabbed something shiny, and hit me on the head,” Tan recounted.
He claimed the man also kicked him after he fell to the ground.
Photos taken by passersby show Tan sitting in a chair, his head heavily bleeding and his shirt stained with blood.
Tan said he felt dizzy and managed to return to his seat to call the police. He was later taken to hospital, where he received five stitches on his head.
