A man and a woman have been arrested after a viral video showed them allegedly engaging in an indecent act at a Chinese cemetery in Penang.
According to Timur Laut district police chief Abdul Rozak Muhammad, a police report was lodged over the incident, which took place a day earlier at the Batu Gantung Chinese cemetery in Air Itam, reported Sinar Harian.
Arrests made after viral clip surfaced
A 37-year-old woman was arrested at a flat near Rifle Range, while a 58-year-old man was detained separately in Sungai Ara, as reported by Sinar Harian.
Rozak said both individuals, who are locals, admitted their involvement in the case and will be remanded to assist in investigations.

Police are investigating the matter under offences related to indecent behaviour, insulting modesty, and misuse of network facilities.
The incident gained attention after a video circulated online showing the pair being confronted at the cemetery.
In the footage, the man was seen without clothing while the woman was partially dressed and seated on a tombstone.
A bystander who recorded the video was heard reprimanding the pair, stating that the location should be respected as a place to honour the deceased.
Police received multiple reports
Authorities reportedly received several reports from members of the public regarding the incident.
Penang police chief Azizee Ismail was also quoted as saying the two individuals are not married.
Police have advised the public not to engage in immoral acts or share content that may offend societal sensitivities.
