A Singaporean motorcyclist died in a road accident after he crashed while overtaking a vehicle along Jalan Batu Pahat-Mersing.
According to Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh, the accident took place at KM60, Jalan Batu Pahat-Mersing.

The 51-year-old Singaporean man was riding a Yamaha T-Max motorcycle from Mersing heading towards Kluang.
“He overtook a Nissan Grand Livina MPV on the left side before losing control of his bike,” he said in a statement.
Collision caused chain reaction
The motorcyclist then veered into the opposite lane and crashed into a Perodua Kancil coming from the opposite direction.
Due to the impact, the Kancil driver, a 43-year-old local man, also lost control and crashed into the same MPV the motorcyclist had overtaken earlier.

The Singaporean rider sustained serious injuries to his body and died on the spot.
The Kancil driver suffered injuries to his face, chest, and legs and was taken to Hospital Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom in Kluang for treatment.
The MPV driver, also a 43-year-old local man, was unharmed.
Case under investigation
Police are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Bahrin also advised road users to drive with caution and be considerate to avoid similar incidents.
