Five family members were found dead inside a house in Taman Cherating Damai earlier this morning (Feb 17), in a case that police believe may involve foul play.
The shocking discovery has left residents in the Kuantan neighbourhood reeling as authorities continue investigations at the scene.
Two young children among the victims
According to initial information, the victims include two young girls aged three and four.
The other three victims are believed to be two adults and a man who is thought to be the father of the two children.
Reported by Buletin TV3, Kuantan District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Ashari Abu Samah said that a media statement regarding the case will be released in the near future.
For now, all five bodies remain at the scene as authorities carry out further investigations and procedures.
More details are expected to be announced once police complete their preliminary investigations.
