43yo M’sian Man Dies Inside Locked Car Near Bandar Cassia Toll Booth In Penang

The cause of death remains unknown.
A 43-year-old local man was found in a lifeless state inside a locked car that was located near the Bandar Cassia toll plaza in Penang.

According to a report by NST, Fire and Rescue Department were alerted of the incident after a report was made at 4.10pm yesterday (Oct 23).

In a statement by State Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations John Sagun Francis, he said when firefighters arrived at the scene, they were told by police of the victim being unconscious inside a Toyota Vios parked at a nearby rest area.

“Upon assessment, the operation commander instructed the team to open the vehicle using specialised rescue equipment.

“Once access was gained, firefighters discovered that the man, identified as Tan Wei Ho, had already died,” he said.

The victim was later confirmed dead by paramedics at the scene and the body was handed over to police for further action.

The operation was brought under control at 6pm and wrapped up at 6.16pm.

However, no further details were disclosed as police are currently investigating the incident.
