A 43-year-old Japanese man was found dead inside his car at a residential parking lot along Jalan Peel, Kuala Lumpur, after his wife was unable to contact him since July 19.

Cheras District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Aidil Bolhassan, said police received a report about the incident at 9.32pm on July 23 from a local man.
The victim’s wife, who had returned to Japan on July 13, had requested help from a security guard to check on her husband after multiple failed attempts to reach him.

At around 8pm, the guard and several others entered the victim’s home but found it empty.
Reported by Buletin TV3, they then checked the third-floor parking lot and discovered the man unconscious inside his vehicle.
Firefighters broke window to retrieve body
Firefighters from the Pudu Fire and Rescue Station were called in and broke the car window to retrieve the victim.
He was confirmed dead at the scene by medical personnel.

Aidil confirmed that no external injuries were found and there were no elements of foul play.
Had lived in Malaysia for six years with family
Further investigation revealed that the man had been working as a web developer and had been living in Malaysia with his wife and child for the past six years.
His wife and child, who left for Japan on July 13, were scheduled to return to Malaysia on the day the body was found.
