A devastating accident on Saturday (Mar 15) led to the death of 41-year-old factory worker, Cheng Tian Wen (transliteration), who was returning home after work.
According to China Press, the incident occurred during heavy rain, causing Cheng to lose control of his motorcycle and fall right into the path of an approaching yellow trailer truck.

The truck ran over him before swerving momentarily to the right, nearly entering the opposite lane.
Despite the impact, the truck driver did not stop to check the situation.
The tragic sequence of events was captured on a dashcam from a passing car.
Subsequently, several other vehicles were involved in a chain collision, further complicating the situation.
The car’s driver came forward to the police on Saturday afternoon, submitting the footage as part of an ongoing investigation.
Truck driver urged to come forward
Cheng’s wife, surnamed Lim (transliteration), identified him through his belongings, as his body was severely damaged.
Bukit Pasir village head Lim Chew Yang (transliteration), who has been assisting the family, revealed that the deceased’s wife’s only wish is to understand what truly happened.

They are urging the trailer truck driver to come forward and report to the police.
They are not looking to place blame—they just want to know the truth,” said Lim.
The family is also appealing to other motorists to provide any additional dashcam footage to help identify the trailer’s license plate and driver.
‘He was a hardworking & loving father’
Cheng’s wife described her husband as a hardworking individual and a loving father to their two young sons, aged four years and nine months.
Cheng worked at an iron factory and was known for his cautious driving habits, often checking weather conditions before commuting.
This tragic incident highlights the dangers of road travel during adverse weather conditions and serves as a reminder for all motorists to exercise caution.
