3yo M’sian Boy Gets Crushed By Coconut Tree, Passes Away While Receiving Treatment

RIP.
Disaster often strikes when one least expects it and most of the time, it leaves the victim’s loved ones with grief when it occurs.

A toddler in Maran, Pahang, lost his life after a giant coconut tree suddenly gave way and fell right on top of him, where he was crushed to death due to its massive weight and force.

According to Sinar Harian, the 3-year-old boy, identified as Wan Muhammad Harith Syauqi Wan Hazizi, was struck by the coconut tree at his family home in Felda Jengka 6 last Saturday (June 8).

The Malay daily reported that the toddler was collecting dry branches with his father outside of the house before tragedy struck at around 5.30pm.

In an interview, Wan Muhammad’s mother Saliah Mohd Noor said she and several other family members were also outside of the house prior to the incident.

Before that, I heard a ‘crack’ sound three times before the coconut tree fell on my youngest child. It all happened right before my eyes and I couldn’t do anything.

“When we found him, he was unconscious and covered in blood around his ears and nose,” she recounted.

Though Wan Muhammad was rushed to the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital (HoSHAS) in Temerloh, he was sadly pronounced dead at 10.35am yesterday (June 9)

Despite the tragedy, Saliah Mohd said she accepted her son’s passing as a test from God.

Wan Muhammad was later buried at the Felda Jengka 6 cemetery at about 3:30pm.
