Whenever we place an order online, we would trust the delivery person to send it to our doorstep as instructed. However, there are times where the delivery person would go rogue and steal it instead.
A female delivery driver in Johor is now facing a lengthy jail time after she chose to go against her duty by stealing a parcel containing skincare products instead of sending it to the customer.

In a statement by Iskandar Puteri district police chief, Assistant Commissioner M Kumarasan, he said police were alerted of the incident after a 42-year-old man lodged a report about a parcel belonging to a resident of the apartment being stolen.
After the report was lodged, police went to the scene and arrested a 38-year-old Malaysian woman who worked as a delivery driver.
A report by NST revealed that the stolen parcel contained skincare products worth RM37, which contained two bottles of cleansing water, a box of avocado plant extract wet wipes, and two bottles of lotion.
The English daily reported that the suspect allegedly completed the delivery, provided proof of receipt to the recipient, who wasn’t around at the time, and then left with the parcel.
A drug test was conducted on the suspect but it came back negative. Background checks also revealed that she had no prior criminal record.
She has since been remanded for five days and the case is being investigated under Section 380 of the Penal Code for stealing from a building, where it carries a jail term of up to 10 years and a fine if convicted.
