Investigations are ongoing.
A 38-year-old man in China has been arrested after posing as a woman online and having sex with over 1,600 men.

China’s Legal Daily reported that the man, known on social media as “南京阿红” (Nanjing Ah Hong) or “红爷” (Hong Ye), was detained by police in Nanjing for allegedly distributing obscene materials.

Many encounters were filmed without the men’s full knowledge and later sold on online platforms.

At least 1600 men involved

Footage circulating online showed that many men brought items like peanut oil, fruits, and milk when meeting “Hongjie”.

Some men also found out “she” was male but still went ahead, thinking it was “too late to back out”.

Some even became repeat participants.

They encouraged anyone who may have had close contact or is concerned about their health to get tested. Details on whether the suspect has any infectious diseases remain private for now.

Police reminded the public that under Chinese law, knowingly spreading HIV or other diseases through unprotected sex can lead to 3 to 10 years in prison, and up to life imprisonment or the death penalty if it causes serious harm.
