A 32-year-old Chinese man is currently missing after falling into the sea from the Malaysia–Singapore Second Link Bridge last night.
According to the China Press, the incident occurred at around 8pm at the 1.3-kilometre mark of the bridge, heading towards Singapore.

Search and rescue ongoing
Johor Bahru North district police have confirmed the incident, stating that search and rescue efforts are still ongoing at the time of writing.
In a separate statement, the Johor Fire and Rescue Department said it received an emergency call at 8.35pm. Firefighters from the Iskandar Puteri and Skudai stations were immediately dispatched to the scene to assist in the search operation.
Iskandar Puteri Fire and Rescue Station chief Faiz said authorities were informed that a man had fallen into the sea from the bridge, prompting an immediate rescue response.
Discovered handwritten notes
During the operation, officers discovered three handwritten notes on the man’s motorcycle. It is understood that the notes contained apologies addressed to his family.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency involved in the search has indicated that the missing man may have been carried into Singapore waters. As a result, assistance has also been requested from the Singapore authorities.
Search and rescue efforts are continuing.
