31yo M’sian Man Loses Head In Road Accident While Returning To JB From S’pore

Photos of his headless corpse were also shared online.
Driving on the road can often turn into a dangerous or deadly affair as there’s no telling when an accident might strike, resulting in the loss of innocent lives.

Road users along the Malaysia – Singapore Second Link Bridge were met with a gruesome sight after a Malaysian man had his head completely severed from his body following a fatal road accident.

According to Oriental Daily, the bloody incident took place on Monday (Aug 19) at around 8.20am along the Malaysia – Singapore Second Link Bridge.

The Chinese daily reported that the victim was driving from the Tuas Checkpoint in Singapore to his home in Johor Bahru before the accident took place.

However, he allegedly lost control of his motorcycle during the journey and it overturned, causing him to suffer severe head injuries and die on the spot.

It also reported that photos of the accident soon found its way to social media, where photos showing the man’s head completely detached from his body were shared by those who witnessed the accident unfold.

Was working in S’pore

The victim was later identified as 31-year-old Balakrishnan Marimutu, reported China Press.

Based on a photo of his work permit, he was working at a safety, life-saving, and firefighting equipment supplier in Singapore.

Iskandar Puteri district police deputy Mohammad Azlan later confirmed the incident, adding that Balakrishnan’s body was sent to the Johor Bahru General Hospital for an autopsy.

He also said that the case is currently being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1987 for dangerous and reckless driving causing death.
