According to a viral post on Xiaohongshu (XHS), Jee’s cousin wrote that Jee took a flight to Bangkok with a friend on Jan 8 and was scheduled to return to Singapore on Jan 15 for work.

However, Jee’s colleagues informed his family about his disappearance after he failed to turn up for work for two days straight after the vacation, prompting a frantic search for him.
His phone is disconnected and Jee told us and his colleagues that he was travelling to Thailand with a friend, but none of us knows who that friend is,” wrote Jee’s cousin in the post.
The family has since flown down to Singapore to seek help from the Malaysian embassy there in determining whether Jee had either left or entered the country.
Should there be no leads from there, the family plans to fly to Bangkok to look for him.

According to the missing person notice, Jee’s described as being 170cm tall, dark-skinned, and large-built.
