A young man was killed in an extremely gruesome manner in a tragic road accident that took place in Johor last Friday (Dec 27).
According to a report by Sinar Harian, the accident took place at Kilometer (KM) 29.3 of the Linkedua Highway (towards the Senai Utara Toll).

In a statement by Kulai district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Tan Seng Lee, he said police received a report regarding the incident at around 4.30pm.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the accident occurred when the Honda RS150R motorcycle, ridden by a 30-year-old local man, attempted to avoid a lorry in the right lane.
“While doing so, he lost control of the motorcycle and collided with the road divider on the right side.
“As a result, the motorcyclist sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, while the lorry driver reportedly fled the scene,” he said.
A grisly photo of the man’s head being torn right off from his body was also shared widely among groups on WhatsApp.

Lee said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 and police are also currently tracking down the lorry driver who allegedly fled the scene.
He also urged members of the public who have information related to the accident to contact Investigating Officer, Inspector Ahmad Safuan Abu Naim, at 017-7573507 or visit the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division (BSPT) at the Kulai District Police Headquarters to assist in the investigation.
