In a disturbing act of cruelty that has sparked outrage, a video showing three men burning a live kitten in Kajang has gone viral.
The incident, captured on CCTV, took place in the motorcycle parking area of Flat Sri Kenari, Sungai Ramal Baru, on April 22.
The Malaysia Animal Association (@animalmalaysia) shared the footage on Instagram, revealing the cruel act committed by the group of men, including one minor, around 2 PM.
The local police are now searching for the three individuals responsible for this horrifying deed.
A witness at the scene managed to extinguish the flames and rushed the severely injured kitten to a veterinary clinic for urgent care.
Kitten suffered second-degree burns
The six-week-old kitten, now at a private clinic in Ampang, is in critical condition with second-degree burns and needs intensive care for at least a week.
The police have identified the suspects and are actively working to locate them. The incident has been classified as a criminal act under Section 428 of the Penal Code.
