In a tragic turn of events, a 28-year-old housewife who was reported missing was found dead in her bedroom at Indera Mahkota, Kuantan.
The victim was discovered with strangulation marks on her neck, raising suspicions of foul play.
According to Harian Metro, Kuantan District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu, shared that there were no signs of forced entry at the victim’s home.
However, further investigation revealed that the victim’s mobile phone and car keys were missing.
Adding to the mystery, the CCTV cameras installed in the house were also found to be missing, leading authorities to believe that the suspect might have removed them.
Interestingly, the victim’s other personal belongings were left untouched.
As of now, we are questioning several individuals, including family members, to track down the suspect and uncover the motive behind this tragic incident,” said Wan Mohd Zahari.
The case took a dramatic turn when the victim’s husband, a Chinese national, found her unconscious in their home at 7:30 PM.
This shocking discovery came just hours after the victim’s 62-year-old father had reported her missing at 3:25 PM on the same day.
Relatives of the housewife published a Facebook post that is now deleted to find the missing woman.
Currently, the victim’s husband, who works as a factory supervisor, along with her father, father-in-law, and mother-in-law, has been remanded for investigation until August 21.
The case is being treated as a murder investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
