Participants at a 50km cycling event along the East Klang Valley Expressway (EKVE) in Kajang were left shocked after one of the participants collapsed due to breathing difficulties.
Sadly, the man didn’t survive the incident and subsequently died.

In a statement by Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof, he said police were informed of the victim’s passing by the Ampang Hospital at around 2pm on Sunday (Aug 10).
While passing Km13 of the EKVE, the victim is believed to have suffered breathing difficulties, causing him to collapse onto the road and lose consciousness.

“First aid was administered at the scene before he was rushed to Ampang Hospital,” he said as quoted by NST.
Despite efforts to resuscitate him, the victim eventually passed away upon arriving at the hospital.
A post-mortem was later conducted at about 9.45am at Ampang Hospital on Monday (Aug 11) and the cause of death is yet to be revealed pending laboratory analysis.
Police have classified the case as a sudden death report (SDR).
