Everyone has a dream that they wish to fulfil in their lifetime. Some dream of retiring comfortably at a young age, while others want to own multiple cars and houses.
A young man recently shared his inspiring story of how he overcame personal trials and obstacles and was eventually able to buy not one, but two properties at the age of just 26.
Started working at 13yo
Taking to XiaoHongShu to share his experience, the man named JS Lim said that he wasnโt born into a well-to-do family and began working at 13-years-old while he was still a student to help alleviate his parentsโ financial burden.

โMy father had an accident at the workplace and suffered hip injuries, which rendered him unable to work for long hours. From that point on, I learnt the importance of earning a living.
In three generations, one of them has to work hard. If it isnโt your parents doing so, then itโs on the next generation to do so.
โThis isnโt chicken soup (for the soul). This is reality,โ he wrote.

Thankfully, Limโs hard work and perseverance paid off much later after he landed a job at Nirvana Group, the countryโs largest funeral company, where he has worked for the past eight years.

โIโm very happy to say that at the age of 26, Iโm able to buy a semi-D house for my parents, which is the best gift for them. Now, I can provide the best life for them and have them not worry about finances anymore.โ
Lim also revealed that the RM1.5 million semi-D was the second property he bought, with the first being purchased for investment purposes.
โDonโt give up on your dreamsโ
Towards the end of the post, Lim called upon Malaysians who shared a similar experience not to give up on whatever dreams they have for the future.
โDonโt be afraid to chase after your dreams. Not matter how far-fetched it may be, as long as you work hard, it will come true one day.โ
