24yo M’sian Man Flung Out Of Car After It Hits & Lands On Divider In Upright Position

A young man in Johor was tragically killed after the car he was driving crashed into a divider, where he was sent flying out from the car due to the impact.

According to a statement by Iskandar Puteri district police chief Assistant Commissioner M. Kumarasan, he said the fatal accident took place at 1.45am today (Aug 4) at the Persiaran Indah roundabout in Bukit Indah Garden, reported Sin Chew Daily.

Police investigations found that the driver was a 24-year-old local, while the passenger was his 31-year-old friend.

Due to the crash’s impact, the victim was flung out from the car, causing him to suffer severe head injuries and a broken right arm. As for his friend, he suffered serious injuries to his head, arms, and legs but is thankfully in a stable condition, reported NST.

Kumarasan said the victim’s body was sent to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital for an autopsy and the case is being probed under Section 41(1) of the 1987 Road Transport Act for reckless driving.

He also called upon those who have witnessed the accident to contact the Iskandar Puteri District Police Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Unit at 07-510 1322.
