A 21 year old Malaysian man recently went viral after a video showed him panicking over an injection that had not even touched his skin yet.
In the clip posted on TikTok, the young man could be seen sitting nervously as a doctor calmly prepared to administer an injection on his arm.
However, even before the needle went anywhere near him, he had already started wailing and insisting that it was painful.
The funniest part? The needle had not even touched him yet.
He suspected he might need an injection and tried to avoid the clinic
Speaking exclusively to WeirdKaya, the OP shared that the young man, who is her brother, was actually suffering from a bad allergy.
However, he had initially refused to visit the clinic because he suspected that an injection might be required.
He was having a really bad allergy, but he didn’t want to go to the clinic because he already suspected he might need an injection. He’s very dramatic when it comes to needles,” the OP said with a laughing emoji.
So the OP decided to get a little sneaky.
“I kind of forced him to go without telling him that an injection might be involved. I just said it was a normal check up. In the end, he still had to get injected. That’s when the whole drama started.”
Panic mode activated before the needle even arrived
According to the OP, the 21 year old has always been terrified of needles.
“He has always been scared of needles, and no matter how much we try to reassure him, he still panics every single time.”
In the viral video, he could be heard crying out dramatically while the doctor, who remained impressively calm, tried to handle the situation with patience and a few giggles.
Before the injection even began, the OP jokingly told the doctor to bring a long needle just to scare him.
We were all laughing about it, but plot twist. The injection actually had a longer needle. The moment he saw it, his face changed completely.”
Doctor jokes about him being the youngest sibling
The situation became even more amusing when the doctor jokingly asked if he was the youngest sibling in the family.
The lighthearted teasing helped ease the tension in the room, turning what could have been a stressful moment into a hilarious one.
Despite all the dramatic screaming, the injection was eventually administered safely.
Safe to say, some fears do not disappear with age.
