While many dream of inheriting wealth and property, one young Malaysian’s story reveals the loneliness that sometimes comes with it.
In a heartbreaking post shared on the Facebook page Xuan Play, a 21-year-old Malaysian man opened up about a painful reality: having wealth but no one left to share it with.

The last one standing
He began his confession with a gut-wrenching truth:
I’m 21 years old this year, and I’m the only child in three generations of my family. Now, I’ve become the only one left alive.”
His grandparents, parents, and every close family member have passed away, leaving him to navigate adulthood entirely on his own.
Each family member left behind a house for him, totalling six terraced homes under his name. Along with that came over RM4 million in savings, which he has locked away in fixed deposits.
But despite the fortune, he admitted that he lives very simply—surviving on Maggi noodles or mixed rice daily.

Even though I have money, I don’t dare to enjoy life… if I spend a little more, it feels like I’m letting them down.”
He sees the money as his family’s life work and feels guilty spending it on himself.
The emotional toll of losing everyone dear has taken a deep hold on him, where he wrote: “I’ve been feeling really down… I don’t like going out, and I don’t want to talk to people.”
Though he understands that many would see his situation as a blessing, the truth is that he feels directionless and hollow.
There’s no one to lean on, no family to come home to, and no joy in his wealth.

“I’m not trying to show off… I’m just really in pain. I have no direction. I just wanted to find a place to breathe, and ask—what should I do?” he lamented.
