Two grown Singaporean men found themselves in police lockup after a fight sparked between them over beer being splashed on their partners.
According to The Sun Malaysia and Oriental Daily News, the men were aged 46 and 56 respectively.
Fought earlier at mall
According to a statement by Johor Bahru Selatan police chief Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat, he said the men butted heads with each other earlier at a shopping mall in Johor Bahru at 5:20pm on Sunday (Dec 21).
The fight was allegedly sparked after one suspect’s wife was splashed with beer when one of the men nearly bumped into her.

The altercation subsequently prompted police officers on patrol to step in and both men were brought to the Larkin Police Station.
Continued brawl at counter
At the police station, one of the men was filing a police report at the counter when the other man suddenly attacked him, leading to another scuffle.
The fight was eventually broken up by police officers and both men were sent to Sultanah Aminah Hospital after they sustained minor injuries.

The duo were later arrested but tested negative for drugs. They were remanded for two days starting yesterday (Dec 22).
The case is being probed under Section 160 of the Penal Code for committing affray and Section 90 of the Police Act 1967 for disorderly conduct at a police station.
