A quick ride between floors, a few moments of stillness before the doors open to reveal our destination—rarely do we pause to consider what might happen if that journey suddenly came to a halt.

,The search, which began in the late afternoon, continued into the night. Finally, at 12:45 a.m., CCTV footage led authorities to the condominium’s elevator, where the two children were discovered asleep. They had been trapped in the lift for more than nine hours, unable to escape, reported Buletin TV3.

Assistant Commissioner Ravindar Singh Sarban Singh, the Cheras District Police Chief, shared that the children were found in good health, with no injuries despite their prolonged entrapment.

“There were two police reports lodged regarding the disappearance of the two children by their relatives yesterday afternoon.

Based on the information, the two children had left home at 2:30 p.m. to buy pies at a nearby shop before they became trapped in the elevator,” said Ravindar.

It is believed that the children had tried calling for help but eventually fell asleep due to exhaustion.

The ordeal, which lasted more than nine hours, ended when they were successfully rescued and reunited with their anxious families.
