Another video showed the duo pretending to try on clothes in front of a mirror before heading into the fitting room and stuffed the clothes into their bags.

One of them even brought another outfit to the counter and pretended to make payment using a credit card, unaware that her act was being captured on CCTV.

Duo reportedly were S’poreans

Speaking to the Chinese daily, the store owner said a police report was lodged in Malaysia and another one will be made in Singapore.

She added the women, who were aged around 25 to 28 years old, stole seven items of clothing worth RM700 from the shop.

When asked what led her to believe the women were Singaporeans, the store owner said they had a Singaporean accent, linked their credit card to a Singaporean number, and were found to be carrying Singaporean passports following a police investigation.

The store owner also alleged that the women had stolen clothes from two other local boutiques in JB, with one of them being targeted twice.

“After I shared a “wanted” notice about the two women on social media, I was contacted by shop owners who had experienced similar situations.
