Dashcam footage captured the unfolding drama on what seemed to be a typical two-lane road, highlighting a sequence of decisions that led to chaos.
The scene began with a lorry and a trailer navigating the highway, each occupying one lane.
As the lorry attempted to overtake the trailer in the right lane, a car behind it made a sudden lane change, seemingly without enough clearance.
This abrupt manoeuvre forced the trailer into a precarious position.
Adding to the tension, a Perodua Alza behind the trailer seized the emergency lane in an ill-fated attempt to overtake.
This move only escalated the situation, pushing the trailer driver into a split-second decision to regain control amidst mounting pressure.
Tragically, in the midst of this traffic tango, the trailer lost its footing, careening into an innocent Perodua Axia in the adjacent lane.
The force of the impact was enough to send the Perodua Alza spinning off the road and into a nearby ditch.
