Known as a go-to destination for holidaymakers and weekend getaways, Port Dickson is popular for its scenic beaches and water activities.
However, two men tragically lost their lives in separate drowning incidents while swimming at different beaches this week.
Pakistani man drowns at Pantai Batu 5
According to Kosmo!, the first incident happened on Wednesday (Jan 29), a Pakistani man, Wasif Shehzad, 23, was found drowned in the waters of Pantai Batu 5.

The incident was reported by his younger brother, Amir Ahmad, 22, at around 12.30pm.
Melaka and Negeri Sembilan Maritime Director, Maritime Captain Mohd Khairi Abd Aziz, stated that a search and rescue (SAR) operation was immediately launched by the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRSC) Johor Bahru.
Divers from the Fire and Rescue Department discovered the victim’s body approximately 100 metres from the shore,” he said.
The body was then brought to shore using an aluminium boat before being handed over to the police for further action.
M’sian man’s outing ends in tragedy at Pantai Batu 2
In the second incident, a young Malaysian man, M.R Vishhvaruben, 20, drowned while swimming at Pantai Batu 2 on Friday (31 Jan), reported Kosmo!.
His body was found 250 metres from the shore by the Fire and Rescue Department, who launched a search operation after receiving a distress call at 6.31pm on Thursday.

According to Teluk Kemang Fire and Rescue Station Operations Commander, Senior Fire Superintendent Mohd Kamal Mohd Timar, the victim’s body was recovered at 12.50a.m.
The body was brought to shore at 1:00 AM before being handed over to the police,” he said.
