A man in Sungai Petani, Kedah, had go experience a tragedy no father wishes to go through after he held his dying son in his arms following a road accident.
A photo of the heartbreaking scene was widely shared on social media, which left many devastated for the man’s loss.
Died in father’s arms after road accident
According to Sin Chew Daily, the victim, 19-year-old Muhamaad Haffiz, was riding his motorcycle alone along the road on Thursday night (Jan 8) when he collided with an oncoming car.
Due to the crash’s impact, both Muhamaad Haffiz and his motorcycle overturned and fell onto middle of the road.
At that same moment, another car coming from behind couldn’t stop avoid Muhamaad Haffiz in time and crashed into him, resulting in severe injuries.
When news of the accident reached the ears of Muhamaad Haffiz’s father, he rushed to the scene and held the victim in his arms, along with the hope that he would survive.
However, that hope was cruelly ripped away as Muhamaad Haffiz succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The body was then sent to the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital morgue for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
China Press reported that police are investigating the case for reckless driving causing death.
