Residents at an apartment in Bandar Baru Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, were jolted awake early this morning after hearing a loud scream that pierced through the darkness.
To their horror, they discovered that the scream belonged to a foreign student who apparently fell from a height at the apartment, leading to his demise.

According to China Press, the incident took place at around 6.40am today, where it involved an 18-year-old male student who hailed from China.
When residents awoke to the sound of a loud scream, they proceeded to check the source of the sound and found the victim lying motionless at the ground floor of the apartment.

A resident told the Chinese daily that police were immediately contacted following the harrowing discovery.
Police later arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area to carry out investigations. As for the victim’s body, it was covered up with a white cloth.
No signs of foul play
Nilai district police chief Superintendent Abdul Malik Hashim said preliminary examinations by the Forensics Department found no suspicious external injuries on the victim, except for bleeding from the ear and mild skin rashes.

As for the traces of liquid found at the scene, police believe it was due to loss of bladder control by the victim while falling from the fifth floor.
The body has been sent to the Rembau Hospital for a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death and police have classified the case as sudden death (SDR).
