A young man was tragically killed after a lorry rammed into him at a construction site in Penang on Wednesday (May 28).
The victim was identified as 18-year-old Huang Yufeng (transliteration), who hailed from Johor and had just started his new job three months ago.

According to Sin Chew Daily, Huang drove a pickup truck to Penang Science Park to collect goods at around 4pm.
After parking the truck next to a construction site, he was just about to open the back door to retrieve some goods when a lorry collided into him from behind.
An ambulance was called to the scene but sadly Huang couldn’t be saved and was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
China Press later reported that the gravel truck driver has been arrested by police.
Was described as a filial son
Speaking to reporters, Huang’s parents said their eldest son had chosen to enter the workforce and work as a project coordinator after graduating from high school.
They added Huang began working at Penang Science Park in February and rented a house near there along with his colleagues.

“He told us that he plans to further his studies in the future but hadn’t decided on a major.
“On top of that, he was a filial child who travelled back to Johor three times ever since he started working,” his father told China Press.
Huang’s body has since been taken back to Johor for a five-day wake before the funeral takes place on Sunday (June 1).
