Summary of case
On June 12, the bodies of Boon and Lim were found inside their home at Bukit Rambai, while the youngest son was found lying injured in front of the house.
Initially, police thought it was a robbery gone horribly wrong, but it later emerged that Boon’s second son allegedly carried out the murders.

Police investigations later revealed that Boon’s second son had reportedly killed his mother due to her relentless scolding and pressure she placed on him over his SPM preparation.
As for Lim, he was stabbed after he saw the suspect attacking Boon in her sleep, while Boon’s youngest son got wounded after he refused to leave the house when told by the suspect to do so.
