A shocking incident unfolded at a secondary school in Petaling Jaya after a Form 4 female student lost her life after she was allegedly stabbed by a Form 2 male student today.
According to a report by The Star, the incident took place at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Bandar Utama 4 at around 9.30am.
It was also reported that the suspect had brought a knife to school and stabbed several other students as well.
Police investigating
The incident was later confirmed by Inspector-General of Police Khalid Ismail, who said the suspect was arrested by police.

This is a heartbreaking incident …We are still investigating. What’s very sad is that the 16-year-old girl passed away at the scene.
“We have yet to determine the motive behind the incident and are still conducting further investigations,” he said when met by reporters.
He added a statement is expected to be released by Selangor police chief Shazeli Kahar soon.
Stabbing took place near toilet
Meanwhile, Petaling Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Shamsudin Mamat said the stabbing took place near the girls’ toilet, where teachers discovered the victim, who had sustained multiple stab wounds.

He added two sharp weapons believed to be used in the stabbing were also seized by police.
“We’re trying to determine the relationship between the suspect and the victim, including the possibility that they were a couple.
“The suspect will be brought to court tomorrow for a remand application and the case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.”
