A Form 2 student is facing jail time and a fine after he allegedly assaulted and threatened a teacher who reprimanded him for not showing up for Physical Education classes.
According to NST, the teen was remanded for two days and is expected to be charged in the magistrate’s court today.

In a statement by Kajang police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abd Yusof, he said the teacher filed a police report on Monday (July 28), leading to the student’s arrest the next day.
Preliminary investigations showed that the incident stemmed from the student skipping his physical education class, during which he was supposed to be on the field.

“The teacher reprimanded him, which led to the student becoming dissatisfied and eventually getting into a fight with the complainant.
“The student then punched the teacher in the face and issued threats in the presence of several teachers and students,” he said.
Faces multiple charges
Naazron said the case is being investigated under Sections 323 and 506 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt and criminal intimidation.

Under Section 323, it carries up to one year in prison, a fine not exceeding RM2,000, or both upon conviction. As for Section 506, offenders face up to two years’ imprisonment, a fine, or both.
Naazron urged those with information regarding the incident to contact Investigating Officer Inspector Mohd Amirul Abd Wahab at 013-549 5236 to assist with the investigation.
He also called upon students to adhere to school regulations and refrain from actions that could jeopardise their future.
