The entire nation is excited about the coronation of Sultan Ibrahim as the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
To accommodate this prestigious event and its associated activities, Kuala Lumpur will see significant road closures this Saturday.
According to FMT, police chief Rusdi Isa has announced that 14 major roads will be temporarily closed from 8am to 8pm.
These are the affected roads:
- Jalan Tun Razak
- Jalan Kia Peng
- Jalan Raja Chulan
- Jalan Ampang
- Jalan Sultan Ismail
- Lebuhraya Sultan Iskandar
- Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim
- Jalan Semantan
- Jalan Damansara
- Jalan Istana
- Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Expressway
- Jalan Kuching (south-bound)
- Dato Onn roundabout
- Jalan Parlimen
To ensure the smooth flow of the coronation proceedings, 387 traffic policemen will be deployed to escort VIPs and manage traffic, according to Rusdi.
Furthermore, motorists are strongly encouraged to avoid these routes to prevent congestion and are urged to follow the instructions of the traffic officers on duty.
