# Proton Saga Gets Stuck Inside Drain Following Downpour While Owner Waited For It To Be Towed

**The owner of a Proton Saga found herself in an awkward situation after her car was swept away following heavy rain and got stuck inside a drain.**

According to [Kosmo!](https://www.kosmo.com.my/2026/10/29/video-tunggu-towing-kereta-pula-hanyut-dibawa-arus/), the friend of the Saga owner, @Sapheyaa, took to Threads to recount what had transpired.

However, the post has since been deleted.

## Proton Saga swept into drain

According to @Sapheyaa, she said her friend was waiting for a tow truck to arrive and take her car away from the scene following an accident.

Unfortunately, a heavy downpour suddenly came and this led to the car being swept away within mere seconds.

##### @Sapheyaa also claimed that she and her friend tried seeking help from the authorities but found themselves being ping-ponged between different parties.

"We went to the police station and were told to call the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), but Bomba told us to contact the Civil Defence Force (APM). The car was later swept away from its original spot and carried further downstream.

"We tried calling Bomba again today. Do you know what they said? They couldn't help because there was no one available. So who are we supposed to turn to for help? It's really unfortunate," she lamented.

As a result, the Proton Saga was stuck inside a drain tunnel after strong currents carried it downstream. Photos of the vehicle were also shared widely online.

However, it's not known whether the car was removed from the drain and authorities have yet to provide an official statement on the matter at the time of writing.
