The English daily reported that the tragedy occurred at a campsite located at Pulau Santap in Janda Baik this morning.

Pahang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) public relations officer Zulfadli Zakaria said in a statement that a distress call was made at 7.56am and several firefighters were immediately dispatched to the scene.
“Ten personnel from the Bentong Fire and Rescue Station, along with two fire engines and assistance from six members of the Janda Baik Volunteer Fire Brigade, were deployed to the location.
“When they arrived, the operation commander confirmed that a woman, identified as Herini Mohammad Ali, was hit by a tree that fell onto a tent and was killed upon impact.
“A man and a young boy were also injured in the incident,” he said.

The victim’s body was later handed over to police for further action, while the injured individuals were sent to Bentong Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
An inspection of the campsite was also carried out by firefighters and the fallen tree was cleared using chainsaws so that it will not endanger other campers.
