There comes a point in our working lives where we will feel unfulfilled or frustrated with our workplace, thus leading us to look elsewhere for greener pastures.
A woman recently took to social media to express concern over her husband’s desire to quit his well-paying job and take on the arduous task of being a delivery rider.
Worthy trade-off?
In an anonymous posting on Facebook, the woman wrote that her husband earns more than RM5,000 each month.

However, the salary wasn’t enough to convince him to stay as he felt that workplace had become increasingly stressful and “toxic” after a change in management.
As such, he wanted to become a full-time delivery rider and believed that he would be able to achieve the same kind of earnings at his corporate job.
The woman added that she had tried everything to convince her husband otherwise, but nothing has worked so far, leading her to turn to netizens for advice.

Responses
The reaction from netizens were mostly in the same vein: being a full-time delivery rider isn’t as rewarding as it appears to be.
‘My advice is not to do it. It’s better to worry at the workplace than to worry when you have no income. Being a delivery rider isn’t the way to earn a stable income.’

‘It’s alright to do it part-time, not full-time.’

‘Better to be stressed under the air conditioner than the sun.’
