A male driver was left stunned after a motorcyclist allegedly slipped through a toll booth by tailgating his car, effectively using the driver’s paid toll to pass through, and leaving the driver trapped in the lane.
According to China Press, the incident is believed to have occurred at around 6.30pm yesterday at an unspecified toll plaza.
Motorcycle sped through open boom gate
According to dashcam footage uploaded to Facebook, the driver had entered a Touch ’n Go payment lane and was waiting for a black pickup truck ahead to clear the toll.
Once it was his turn, the driver scanned his Touch ’n Go card and the boom gate was lifted.

However, a motorcycle suddenly sped past the driver’s car and went through the toll lane first, effectively “piggybacking” on the driver’s toll payment before riding off.
As a result, the boom gate came down again, leaving the driver stuck inside the toll lane despite having made payment.
Forced to pay again
The dashcam video shows the visibly shocked driver honking at the motorcyclist and shouting in frustration.
With no other option, he eventually got out of his car to scan his Touch ’n Go card again, after which the boom gate lifted once more and he was finally able to exit the toll plaza.

The video has since sparked discussion online, with many netizens condemning the motorcyclist’s behaviour and calling it irresponsible and unfair to other road users.
