KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysia-Singapore Business Council (MSBC) (Malaysian Chapter) has urged the government from both countries to restore the business travel bubble as a means to stem further damage to the economy.
It said in a statement that one of the challenges in bringing back “vibrant trade and economic activities” between Malaysia and Singapore was the suspension of the business travel bubble.
MSBC Chairman Datuk Seri Dr. Nik Norzrul Thani expressed his support for the issuance of a “universal certification” to those who have received their vaccine and added it will ease the movement of people and revive the tourism sector for Malaysia and Singapore.
“On our part, as the private sector conduit for Malaysian and Singaporean businesses, MSBC will facilitate participation of businesses in mega projects and conduct joint programmes for human capital development of skilled workers and young entrepreneurship.”
“These projects are major game changers and are of great interest to both countries,” he said.
