King Myvi Catches Fire After Flaming Exhaust Stunt Gone Wrong During Car Show At Klang Mall

A Perodua Myvi was severely damaged after catching fire during a car show held at a shopping mall compound in Klang on Sunday night.

According to mStar, the fire broke out just minutes after a separate vehicle performed a flaming exhaust display as part of the showcase.

The clip, which runs for over two minutes, shows sparks flying from the exhaust stunt, believed to have triggered the blaze.

The sparks were later seen spreading to a Perodua Myvi parked nearby, which was eventually engulfed in flames and almost completely destroyed.

According to Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar, the department received a distress call at around 9.25pm.

The fire involved two vehicles, namely a Perodua Myvi and a Toyota Vios. Firefighters on duty managed to extinguish the blaze,” he said in a statement.

He added that the Perodua Myvi sustained about 90 percent damage, while the Toyota Vios was only lightly affected, with roughly two percent damage.

No casualties reported

Ahmad Mukhlis confirmed that no injuries were reported in the incident, and the situation was brought under control shortly after emergency personnel arrived at the scene.

The incident has since sparked online discussion about safety measures during car shows, particularly those involving pyrotechnic-style exhaust demonstrations in public spaces.
