A man who recently lost his job was moved to tears after his wife and young daughters gifted him a note to comfort him during a time of great anxiety and uncertainty.

## Lost job due to retrenchment

In a viral [Threads post](https://www.threads.com/@rahaizuddin/post/Dd9JbKik9uk?xmt=AQG0O6Mynbn_EtCXBgtlV-g4PHNtlt2kP-r0l9u20EsEGnLZEzySiPjJRAD41drWXGreHqg), Rahaizuddin wrote that his company held a townhall meeting days ago and announced that many of its employees would be retrenched, including himself.

He noted that many cried following the announcement, but he held back his tears until he got back home.

## 'We'll be just fine, Ayah'

Rahaizuddin told WeirdKaya that he was extremely afraid to inform his family of the news as it was "very sudden"—something which he's still trying to come to terms with.

He also said he had been working with the fermentation and bioprocess company since 2018, a position he had once envisioned as his dream job.

"Before I entered the house, I broke down in tears and told my daughters that I had lost my job.

##### "After all of us calmed down, one of my daughters run into her bedroom and gave me a note which read: 'It’s okay, Ayah, we’ll be just fine. We love you, Daddy.'

"I was so surprised and touched by the note that I cried even more," he recounted.

Rahaizuddin added that he's currently looking for another job for the time being and had some words of encouragement for those in a similar situation.

"Be patient and accept reality. Perhaps there is a lesson or blessing behind the bad news. Also, support from your family is very important.”
