**Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor said she was unaware of claims that two representatives of her husband, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, had gone to court to pay his RM50 million fine.**

She said neither she nor the family had been informed about the matter.

“I don’t know. The family has not been informed either,” she told reporters after attending a case management hearing for her hybrid solar project case at the High Court today (Nov 6).

## Shown a screenshot of the report

According to [Berita Harian](https://www.bharian.com.my/berita/nasional/2026/11/1701997/saya-tak-tahu-urusan-pembayaran-denda-rm50-juta-untuk-najib-rosmah), reporters showed Rosmah a screenshot of a news report claiming that two individuals believed to be Najib’s representatives had been seen leaving the payment counter at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex.

Rosmah responded with a quip about the media.

“They (the media) always know more, but afterwards they retract the report. Turns out it wasn’t true,” she said.

Speculation had been growing since the beginning of the week that Najib’s representatives or lawyers would pay the fine, which is a condition for him to serve the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest.

Rosmah was accompanied at court by her lawyers, Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kader and Datuk Jagjit Singh.

## Not involved in fundraising

Asked about efforts to raise money for the fine, Rosmah said she was not involved.

“I don’t know because I’m not involved in that,” she said.

When reporters asked whether UMNO was handling the fundraising entirely, she replied: “Yes.”

She then directed further questions to UMNO secretary general Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.

### RM50 million fine a condition for house arrest

On September 18, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim granted Najib a conditional pardon allowing him to serve the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest until August 23, 2028.

The order was subject to him paying the RM50 million fine.

UMNO subsequently launched the “Dana Solidariti Najib Razak”, or Najib Razak Solidarity Fund, to raise the amount through public donations, as the personal assets of Najib and his family remained frozen.

On September 25, Najib’s lawyer, Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, told reporters that his client did not have the RM50 million needed to fulfil the condition for house arrest.
