At a Petronas station in R&R Sungai Perak, one young man has been winning hearts in an unexpected way, by turning ordinary petrol stops into moments of joy for strangers.
Known to many as “Naruto Petronas,” 23-year-old Muhammad Fakhrul Radzi bin Zulkfley is far from your average petrol station worker.

Inspired by the character Naruto Uzumaki from the popular anime series “Naruto”, he often entertains customers with everything from the iconic “Naruto run” to spontaneous high-energy antics whenever someone pulls up to refuel.
But behind the playful persona is a passion that has been with him since childhood, as well as a personal tragedy not known by many.
Using anime and laughter to heal from heartbreak
Behind the laughter Fakhrul brings to customers lies a grief few people see. Being the youngest in the family, he shared that losing his father deeply affected him and left a lasting emotional impact on his life.

Rather than letting the pain consume him, Fakhrul turned to something that had always brought him comfort: his love for anime and performance.
What may seem like playful entertainment to others is, for him, a way of coping as every run, jump, and cheerful act becomes part of his journey toward healing.
From mockery to widespread welcome
Starting out wasn’t easy for Fakhrul. When he first brought his anime-inspired moves to the workplace, he struggled with shyness and self-doubt, especially when people around him laughed and dismissed what he was doing as nothing more than foolishness.
But he didn’t let that stop him.
Over time, he pushed through the embarrassment, built up his confidence, and today he performs his Naruto and Satoru Gojo-inspired moves with full pride and zero hesitation, much to the delight of customers who stop by.
For Fakhrul, the reason behind his antics is simple: he just wants to make customers smile.

He shared that many customers enjoy his anime-inspired performances and often encourage him to keep going, saying it adds fun and excitement to their petrol stop after a long journey.
Due to overwhelming support, Fakhrul now performs his signature moves almost every day at the station.
It was only after noticing a customer recording him and later seeing the clip shared in his workplace WhatsApp group that he realised he had gone viral, a moment that left his coworkers feeling proud of him.
Biggest dream in life
While Fakhrul hopes to keep spreading joy through his anime-inspired antics, his greatest ambition lies beyond entertaining customers.
More than anything, he dreams of building a better future for his family, especially his mother.

He shared that one of his biggest goals is to send her for umrah as well as buying her a house and car.
“I want to take care of my mother and fulfil her dreams,” he added.
