KLANG – A shipping container crashed into two lorries and injured a driver after falling 12 metres off a flyover bridge at Jalan Pelabuhan Klang .
A spokesperson for the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said the incident took place at around 2.30pm yesterday (Apr 5).

“The container landed on two lorries driving below the flyover, trapping one of the drivers in the debris.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the container lorry was making its way towards the Westport bridge when the driver suddenly lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a crash,” he said.

The victim, a 49-year-old man, was later rescued by firefighters and rushed to the Klang Hospital for further treatment.
The authorities are still determining the cause of the accident.

Photos of the crash has since gone viral on social media, where it showed hundreds of colourful paper and cardboards pieces strewn all over the road.

The incident also led to a massive traffic congestion, where the road was completely blocked by the two lorries and the container.
