KERIAN – A cleaner under the Kerian district council was blessed with heaps of mandarin oranges, drinks, and angpaos from generous residents throughout the Chinese New Year celebration.
Muhammad Izzat shared his happiness with netizens through a TikTok video, where he unboxed and laid out all the gifts by the drain after a long day at work.
In the video, his entire front passenger’s seat was inundated with an insane amount of mandarin oranges and drinks, not forgetting an eco bag containing dozens of angpaos too!
Muhammad Izzat also posted another video of him counting the RM5 and RM10 notes he received from the angpaos as M-Girls’ “恭喜发财发大财” played in the background.
The video has since garnered 56.7k views on TikTok, with netizens commenting on how blessed he was.
Some also shared their experience of themselves or someone they knew being the recipient of such gifts during Chinese New Year.
“My father, who used to work for the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), received many angpaos during CNY. The same happened to my husband who works as a postman too,” one wrote.
“Alhamdulillah (thank God) for the income. It was the same for my father who is a postman,” another wrote.
