Two individuals, including a young girl, were killed in a crash involving a BMW and a Perodua Myvi in Tanah Merah, Kelantan, early this morning.
The incident occurred at around 4.20am along Jalan Machang–Tanah Merah near Bandar Baru Tanah Merah, reported by Harian Metro.
According to Malay Mail, the Perodua Myvi was carrying six people, while the BMW had only one occupant.
Two passengers from the Myvi, a 64-year-old woman and the teenage girl, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Tanah Merah Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Hamdan Abdullah said emergency responders received a call at 4.35am and rushed to the scene.
The remaining victims survived the crash, with one reported injured and handed over to medical personnel for treatment.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent to Tanah Merah Hospital for post-mortem, while the case is being investigated further.
