An 18-year-old girl did not live to see the day where she would receive her SPM results following a road accident that claimed her life and left her friend injured.
According to Guang Ming Daily and NST, the accident occurred at Km2, Jalan Olak Lempit-KLIA in Banting last Saturday (Mar 21).
Thrown off motorbike
According to a statement by Kuala Langat police chief Superintendent Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi, he said the district Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department were alerted of the incident at around 1.15pm.

He added preliminary investigations found that the motorcycle was travelling from Banting towards Olak Lempit when the rider reportedly lost control of the motorbike.
It then scraped against a road barrier, causing both the victim, who was riding pillion, and the rider to be thrown onto the road.
The victim was killed at the scene while the rider, also an 18-year-old, suffered injuries to her hands and legs and was taken to the Banting Hospital for treatment.

Following her demise, the victim is no longer able to receive her SPM results, which are scheduled to be released on Mar 31.
Akmalrizal said the victim’s family had gone to the Kuala Langat TEID to lodge a police report and the case is being probed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for dangerous driving.
He also urged those with further information to contact investigating officer Inspector Mazrol Mohd Din or go to the nearest police station to assist in the investigation.
